Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Conflux, creating an account, connecting a financial account, uploading transaction data, or otherwise using the application, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
We may update these Terms as the product, beta program, legal requirements, or business practices change. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the application, by email, or by posting an updated effective date. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
Beta Software Disclaimer
Conflux is currently offered as beta software. Features may be incomplete, experimental, unavailable, changed, limited, suspended, or removed at any time. Beta access may be invite-only, usage-limited, or otherwise restricted while we test reliability, security, usability, and product fit.
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis during beta. We do not guarantee that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, complete, secure, or suitable for your particular needs. You should keep independent records and verify important financial information before making decisions.
No Financial Advice
Conflux provides planning, budgeting, matching, reporting, calendar, and cash-flow projection tools for informational purposes only. The service does not provide financial, investment, legal, accounting, tax, credit, debt, banking, or other professional advice.
No content, projection, alert, report, recommendation, or planning guidance in the application creates a fiduciary relationship or should be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. You are solely responsible for financial decisions and for evaluating whether any action is appropriate for your circumstances.
User Accounts
To use certain features, you may need to create an account and complete authentication through Supabase Auth. You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your login credentials secure, and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access or misuse.
You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may require additional verification, limit access, or suspend access if we reasonably believe there is a security risk, violation of these Terms, misuse of the service, or legal or operational reason to do so.
User Responsibilities
You agree to use Conflux responsibly and only for lawful purposes.
- Only upload, import, or connect financial data that you have the right and authority to use.
- Review uploaded data, connected-account data, projections, categories, matches, balances, and planned items for accuracy.
- Do not attempt to bypass security, interfere with service operations, reverse engineer the application, scrape the service, or access another user's account or data.
- Do not use the service to store or transmit unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, infringing, or malicious content.
- Do not upload unnecessary sensitive information, such as full Social Security numbers, full payment card numbers, or online banking credentials.
Third Party Services
Conflux relies on third-party services to operate key parts of the application. Supabase provides authentication, database, and related backend services. Plaid provides financial account connectivity when you choose to connect a bank or financial institution.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms, privacy policies, security practices, service limitations, and availability. We are not responsible for third-party outages, errors, data delays, service changes, account connection issues, or institution limitations outside our control.
When you connect an account through Plaid, Plaid Link handles the connection flow and consent experience. Conflux does not ask you to provide online banking usernames or passwords directly to us.
Data Accuracy
Cash-flow projections and reports depend on the information available to the application, including imported transaction files, user-entered planned items, recurring item setup, matching decisions, financial institution data, Plaid data, pending transaction timing, posting delays, and account balance availability.
Data may be missing, duplicated, delayed, categorized incorrectly, outdated, or otherwise inaccurate. Future projections are estimates and may not reflect actual account activity, account holds, bank fees, pending charges, transfers, payment timing, overdrafts, interest, or other events. You should verify important information directly with your financial institution before taking action.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conflux and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, loss of data, financial losses, missed payments, overdraft fees, inaccurate projections, business interruption, or loss of use arising from or related to the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to use Conflux during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Termination
You may stop using Conflux at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting us at support@useconflux.com.
We may suspend, limit, or terminate access to the service at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, created a security or legal risk, misused the service, or if continued access is not appropriate during beta operations. We may also modify or discontinue all or part of the service.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions related to disclaimers, data accuracy, limitation of liability, governing law, and any outstanding obligations.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. To the extent any dispute is permitted to proceed in court, you agree to the personal jurisdiction of state or federal courts located in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
